OUR BEGINNING
Amna Khan
Born: Gujrat, Pakistan
Second youngest of 6 children - First and only child with Higher Education in the family.
University: Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan
Batchelors and Masters in Islamic Studies including History, where she was appointed Student Vice President
Married in 1966 & moved to the UK in 1966 Husband worked for the Civil Service for 33 years at New Scotland Yard. Recognised and awarded an invitation, with wife, to Buckingham Palace to meet Queen Elisabeth II & Prince Phillip, for contributions and exceptional services to the Civil Service.
Mother of three, two boys and one girl. All the children are professionals within their fields, Accountancy, Law and IT.
First job as a Bought Ledger Clerk before the birth of the third child. When she was ready to go back into the workplace, she wanted to take advantage of her education and skillset, but to have a sense of contribution and purpose.
